Career Statement

Let me be honest with you: I don't know what I want.

The only thing I know is that I want to do theatre; at any level, whatever the role. As you will glean from my resumes: I am a Jill of All Trades, as it were. I enjoy every aspect of theatre and wish to better myself in each area. Because of my well versed background, I would be an asset to any production or facility. I am not afraid of asking questions or getting my hands dirty. Hands on work is some of the most rewarding work I do.

I will say that I have a talent and inclination towards costume construction and design. I enjoy aiding the director's vision and helping to bring the actors' characters to life. I delight in the details of a design and historical accuracy, whenever appropriate. I am an accomplished seamstress and have sewn for most of my life.

With that said, I don't want to be pigeon-holed at this point in my career. I wish to work in all of the different areas of production. I find that the more I know about and appreciate the other fields, the better I can perform as an artist, technician, and performer.
